Recently, IBM Maximo® — a market leader in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software — achieved a significant milestone with the announcement of IBM Maximo Application Suite as a Service on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Maximo Application Suite as a Service (MAS SaaS) can provide clients with a simplified and flexible consumption-based licensing model that scales to meet their needs.
Planned for General Availability on June 28, 2022, MAS SaaS will be deployed on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and managed by IBM’s Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) professionals, providing clients with an industry-leading asset management system supported by the scale and agility of AWS.
Clients will be able to get started quickly and accrue the features of MAS SaaS, including the following:
MAS SaaS on AWS represents the next phase of our initiative to support clients’ increasingly global operations — following MAS Bring Your Own License (BYOL) on AWS – by extending our strategy to Hyperscalers and meeting our clients where they are by simplifying and expanding their use of IBM Maximo.
The announcement of MAS SaaS on AWS represents yet another important step in Maximo’s journey to integrate its standalone applications (like Monitor, Health and Visual Inspection) into a cohesive single suite of applications. This integration enhances our capabilities within the Asset Management, Performance Management, Configuration and Maintenance Management domains to better support asset-intensive industries in this increasingly digital era.
The consolidated solution is the IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS). Applications within the suite are infused with AI capabilities that can deliver visibility and actionable insights to dispersed assets, helping clients to transform their business with this intelligent EAM product.
We also built MAS to be a hybrid cloud solution that can be deployed on-premises at the clients’ data center or in any cloud using Red Hat OpenShift’s run-anywhere model. This enables clients’ EAM solution to coexist within the same cloud as their other business-critical enterprise workloads, makes scalability simpler and facilitates innovating with third-party solutions and data. This move improves IBM’s ability to help our clients position themselves as leaders in their industries.
IBM is excited to welcome new prospects and existing clients to learn about IBM Maximo Application Suite as a Service on AWS cloud. As always, we would love to hear any feedback, suggestions and concerns from you.
